Southbank

Improvisation has always been a key part of Michael Price’s live performances, with a new work created at each venue, which are often named after the hall or city of their creation.

The duo improvisation of outstanding cellist Peter Gregson & Michael Price has always been a particular favourite of audiences. Two musicians creating in real-time – listening, adapting and phrasing together has a certain mystery in this more classical context.  This spontaneous performance was captured as part of Erased Tapes 10th birthday celebrations at the Southbank Centre on Friday 8th September 2017.
